NOISE AT WORK
In April 2008 the regulations protecting workers in the music and entertainment industry were replaced by the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 .
In order to comply with these regulations employers are required to prevent or reduce noise exposure to their employees.
This can be achieved in a number of ways, from carrying out the required noise risk assessments, designing noise reduction measures, identifying workers at risk and any workers that may need to have health surveillance. Advice can be given for existing work places and venues or for the planning and design of a new venue or event.
